Relationship Coaching
Relationships can be rewarding, complicated and sometimes difficult to understand — particularly when you're living through the situation yourself.
Relationship coaching provides a confidential and non-judgemental space to step outside of the situation for a moment, talk openly about what's happening and explore what you really want.
You don't need to be at breaking point to benefit from coaching. Sometimes you may simply feel that something has changed, you're becoming disconnected, or you're unsure about the direction your relationship is taking.
Is Relationship Coaching Right for Me?
People consider relationship coaching for many different reasons. You may know exactly what you want to talk about, or you may simply know that something doesn't feel right.
Coaching may be helpful if you're experiencing:
- Feeling disconnected or growing apart
- Communication difficulties or repeated arguments
- Feeling unheard or misunderstood
- Problems around trust, commitment or respect
- Changes in emotional or physical intimacy
- Different expectations within the relationship
- Difficulty understanding your own needs
- Uncertainty about whether to stay, leave or make changes
Whatever brings you to coaching, we start with what's happening for you.
Do We Both Need to Attend?
No. Relationship coaching doesn't necessarily mean attending together.
You may choose to come to coaching on your own to explore how you feel, understand your needs and gain clarity about what you want from your relationship.
Alternatively, you may decide to attend together, creating an opportunity for both of you to talk, listen and better understand each other's perspectives.
We can discuss which approach feels most appropriate for your situation during your initial conversation.
What Happens During Coaching?
Our conversations are focused on you and your situation.
I'll listen to what's happening, help you explore different perspectives and ask questions that encourage you to think more deeply about what you want.
Where change is something you want to explore, we can work through a simple process:
Identify → Clarify → Visualise → Plan → Achieve
The aim isn't for me to make decisions for you. It's to help you develop greater understanding and clarity so that the decisions you make are your own.
Coaching, Counselling and Therapy
Relationship coaching focuses primarily on your present situation, what you want and the possibilities for moving forward.
While our conversations may naturally involve past experiences, coaching is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy or mental health treatment.
If it becomes clear that another form of professional support would be more appropriate for your needs, I will always encourage you to seek the right support.
Client Feedback
It has been a great experience working with Michael. He gets to know you and guides you to where you need to be heading. These things can be emotional at times but he gently guides you whilst making you remember all the things about yourself that are amazing.
He is always positive and a great person to be working with. I always feel uplifted after our sessions and I find I have a drive and direction to move forward. I am so glad i made the commitment to work with Michael. I would highly recommend signing up with Onelifetime.
